Keep Judge Andrea Ricker Wolfson
Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge
Judge Andrea R. Wolfson was born and raised in rural southern Illinois. She was a three-sport athlete in high school and graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school class. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science at the University of Notre Dame. She then received a Master of Science from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She finished up her studies at Chicago-Kent College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor and also met her future husband Jonah who hailed from South Florida.
After graduating from law school, she and Jonah moved to Miami, where Judge Wolfson served as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. During her time as a prosecutor, Judge Wolfson also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.
Judge Wolfson was appointed to the County Court bench in May 2010. She was assigned to the Criminal Division where she presided over hundreds of cases and served as Associate Administrative Judge. In June 2018, she was elevated to the Circuit Court bench and currently serves in the Criminal Division.
Judge Wolfson serves as the Co-Chair of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee and has been involved in the legal community as a member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), Cuban American Bar Association (CABA), and the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA). Judge Wolfson has also been a member of community organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, Kids and the Power of Work (KAPOW), and Women of Tomorrow.
Judge Wolfson spends all of her “free” time with her husband Jonah and their two beautiful children. Usually that time is spent on a baseball or softball field!
Judge Wolfson greatly appreciates your support!
